Elizabeth Jane Hurley was an English actress, model and television star that gained notoriety during the 90s, when she became Hugh Grant's girlfriend. As Grant's film Four Weddings and a Funeral received global interest in the media, Hurley accompanied Grant to its Los Angeles premiere wearing a black Versace gown with gold safety pins. The dress instantly earned the attention of media. Hurley's relationship to Estee Lauder is her most memorable professional experience. Hurley was commissioned by Estee Lauder to be their first model when she was 29. From 1995 onwards, she's been used as a face for the company's products such as Sensuous Intuition & Pleasures. Vanessa Kensington is her best known role from her roles in the Mike Myers spy comedies International Man of Mystery (1997) and Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me, both of which became hugely popular. I kissed a Girl - an ode of curiosity about sexuality - made available a few months later. It had a hard electro-pop style and an assertive position. This song sparked controversy, with some critics accusing that it promoted the same-sex relationship and others claiming that the sexually explicit situation depicted in the song was intended to appeal to the men's fantasies. I Kissed a Girl became a worldwide number-one hit due to the combination of excitement and an elegant melodic tune. The song also assisted her to sell more albums, including One of the Boys. Hot N Cold, Perry's lively and sharply-tongued album that included the song that was its second biggest hit became a huge hit. The album Perry wrote by herself sold more than 3 million copies.
